Eligibility & requirements
Age Requirement:
- The minimum age for admission is 17 years as of December 31 of the admission year.
- The maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed 12th Standard (10+2) with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and secured at least 45% marks in these subjects combined. Additionally, candidates must have passed English as an individual subject.
- Candidates from State Open Schools recognized by the State Government or the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government are also eligible, provided they have studied Science subjects and English.
- English is a mandatory subject for eligibility in the 10+2 examination.
Special Conditions:
- Candidates with color blindness are eligible for admission if they use color-corrective contact lenses or spectacles.
- The candidate must be medically fit.
- Married candidates are also eligible to apply.
Admission Process:
- Admissions are conducted once a year.
- Selection is based on merit determined through the NEET examination and managed by the Directorate of Technical Education.
